Welcome to Reception!
In Reception we love to learn by exploring and investigating through hands on activities. This helps us to develop our own thoughts and feelings about the world around us. It is important for us to share, show love and kindness towards each other.
The class teachers are Mrs Kenny & Mrs Pickup, and the class teaching assistant is Mrs Stockburn.

Class Information
These are the end of year expectations for EYFS children. Children will either achieve the Early Learning Goals (Expected), or be working towards them (Emerging):
If you want to ask anything or send any photographs please email ourschool@cliviger.com.
Each week we will put on the activities which the children will be learning in class. This will help you as parents to reinforce the work which we have covered in class. So for example if we were learning about money you could practise using coins whilst out shopping, when learning about 2D shapes you might hunt for them on a family walk, etc.
Week Beginning 13th April
Numeracy - We are looking at building numbers beyond 10, up to 20.
Literacy - This week we are taking part in drawing club to introduce this term’s text ‘Supertato’. The words we will learn, which link to the text are: distressed, vanished, heroic, persist, villain, courageous, mischievous, aisle.
RE - We are recapping the Easter story and thinking about why Jesus died on the cross.
PSHE - We are going to start thinking about how we can keep safe and healthy, as this is our topic this half term.
Art - We will be exploring different vegetables to print with.
To foster a love of reading, your child can start to bring in their favourite story books for our ‘Recommendation Station’, which we will read at story time to the class.
